With more than 7 images, when an image is selected the set of 7 small images scrolls so the selected image is in the middle of the seven images.
Repeatedly selecting the 5th small image allows you to move through all the images one at a time.

You can scroll to the next set of 7 small images by selecting "< Previous 7 Images" and "Next 7 Images >"
